Our Rich History
Newsroom Pub was brought to life after this elegant, 19th century dining room was restored in 2000. Featuring rich woodwork, a century-old bar, and a fireplace, we offer an inviting space to grab a drink, relax, and enjoy the company of others. The open-concept space next to our bar acts as a perfect venue for private events in downtown Milwaukee.
As the proud headquarters of the Milwaukee Press Club, our walls are filled with rich history. Throughout Newsroom, you will find the Milwaukee Press Club’s collection of signature plaques, including celebrities, U.S. Presidents, comedians, journalists, and more.
The room adjacent to our MKE bar holds the Milwaukee Press Club’s Newsmaker Luncheons and many other professional and social gatherings throughout the year. Book yours today!

Did You Know?
Around 300 framed celebrity autographs were retrieved from the Golda Meir Library’s archive and displayed again for the public during the transformation to Newsroom Pub in 2000.
